René Antonio Soto Taylor

René Antonio Soto Taylor was born February 8, 2006, in Cuernavaca, Mexico, and died at home in Victoria, Canada, July 21, 2015, due to neuroblastoma. René became a Canadian citizen on October 15, 2014. Survivors include his parents, Jose Luis Soto and Julia C. Taylor, his maternal grandfather, Douglas Taylor, aunt and uncle Brittany and Bryon Brodin, and cousin Lucas Brodin. His maternal grand-mother, Marcia Taylor, preceded him in death. His paternal family reside in Mexico, including his grandfather, grandmother, two uncles and an aunt, as well as many cousins. René was adored by his entire family and many, many friends. He will be greatly missed. His memorial is Sunday, August 16th, at Oaklands Elementary School in Victoria at 1:00pm.
