It is with sadness that we announce the death of Valerie Ann Cochran on July 28th at the Victoria Hospice. Valerie was born in Calgary Alberta on May 6th 1946 and passed away July 28th 2014. Predeceased by her brother, Thane and parents, Charles Kerr Cochran and Doreen Cochran, Valerie is survived by her husband for 38 years, Charles Priester; brothers, Douglas and James; sister, Deborah; nephews, Dorian, Reuben, Nic, Casey and Daniel; nieces, Tiana, Katie and Emma. Born in Toronto, Lou Allin grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, where her Canadian parents had pursued employment. She received a PhD in English Renaissance Literature from Ohio State.
