The family of Colin Thomas McConnachie mourn his passing on August 24, 2023 in Sidney, BC, confident that he is now at peace following a lengthy illness. Born on November 6, 1942 in Leeds, England, he travelled the world as an army kid, later to proudly join the Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada.  Aged 12, he worked in coal mines in England, and when his family came to Canada, he met his wife (Diane Louise Jenner) in Ontario.
