Donald Rea

Donald Rea, 92, passed away peacefully at his home in Victoria, BC on Thursday, January 27th 2022 on his own terms.  Don was born in Toronto, ON, on October 3rd, 1929, the youngest of five children of Fred and Azilda (nee LeMonnier) Rea. He will be sadly missed by his three children Steve (Liz), Greg and Lisa and his three grandchildren, Gordon, Michelle and Daniel.  Don was predeceased by his first wife and mother of his children, Marilyn June Rea, in 1995. Anne Grace Unger

Anne was born June 23, 1951 and grew up on the west coast of Vancouver Island in Pachena Bay and Bamfield and then Port Alberni. She was mainly a mother and grandmother but she did many other things in the course of her life. She was a carhop, a beer slinger, a short order cook and server, a hairdresser and barber, a retail sales clerk , a crocheter and a scrapbooker. Her mother was indigenous and Anne was a citizen and elder of Huu-ay-aht First Nations and took a keen interest in band matters. Continue reading

Laurie Wayne Geddes

Laurie Geddes, age 77 passed away peacefully at home in Victoria, BC on December 30th, with Susan, his beloved wife of 50 years, his son Jason, nephew Charles Fincham, and long-time friend and associate Larry Jefferson at his side.  Laurie, the eldest son of Clinton and Shirley (Fleck) Geddes, was born in Truro, NS, and grew up in Middle Stewiacke.     He was predeceased by his infant son Robert, his parents, his brothers Ross and Ronald, and infant sister Jane.    He is survived by his family Continue reading
