Serge Joseph Amédée Anselme Tremblay

In Memorial
TREMBLAY, Serge Joseph Amédée Anselme 1945 – 2013 Serge passed away suddenly at the Royal Jubilee Hospital on November 23, 2013 with his wife and sons by his side. He fought bravely to the very end. Predeceased by his parents Marie-Joseph and Paul-Henri. Lovingly remembered by his wife Rosemarie of 43 years; sons Michael and Kaven; granddaughters Emily and Sarah (and their mother Bridget); his siblings in Quebec; Antonine (Denis), Blaise (Lise), Martin (Diane), Judith (Guy), Laurier (Therese) and Candide; his nieces, nephews and their extended family; in Germany, his brother in-law Manfred, sister in-law Gudrun and their families. Also sorely missed by his “bestest” friends Shauna and Mike and their families. A member of the Canadian Armed Forces, our father proudly served his country for 27 years with honour and integrity. Posted to Germany, Dad met Mom and they married in 1971. Following his retirement, he worked for the BC Government for over a decade in Ambulance payroll and later as a Pharmacare auditor, positions he enjoyed and excelled at. Serge loved sports and enjoyed coaching hockey, baseball and soccer. An avid curler himself, he taught many junior curlers. Serge also enjoyed fishing, golfing and time with Rosemarie at their trailer. He was active as a Scout leader for over 20 years. He left a large impact on many lives and will be greatly missed. A celebration of Serge’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victoria Epilepsy & Parkinson’s Centre, 202-1640 Oak Bay Avenue, Victoria, BC V8R 1B2 or the Victoria Heart & Stroke Foundation.
