It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I announce the sudden passing on February 14, 2017 in Victoria BC Canada of Richard Joseph Gray (“Rick”,”Ricky”) (Born: March 29, 1958, Iserlohn Germany)

Richard was a good man. He held family, sympathy and kindness (among other things) all as cornerstones and a foundation for the way he lived his daily life.

He was not a perfect man by any means, but rest assured he was a kind, loving, and caring man. One who gave his heart, his home, his help and his love to anyone who needed it and wanted it. Including the very people he now leaves behind as he goes forth on his journey, to once again, be beside the love of his life Kim.

Predeceased by his love Kimberley Gray December 2014; his mother Atholean Gray 2012; his sister Vera Hannan 2005; and father Arthur Gray he leaves a tearful family who will all miss him dearly including; niece Crystal Gray, his great-nephews and nieces: Stephen, Rodger, Korin, Victoria, and Elizabeth. Richard’s brothers: Stephen (Audrey) Gray, Kenneth Gray, and sister Margaret (Wayne) Brownell, among a barrage of plenty more family, friends, as well as friends whom he deemed family; that will always feel the loss of his presence as we already do at this moment in time

Please join me, not in a tearful moment, but a moment of appreciation. Appreciation that we were fortunate enough to experience the wonderful person who Rick was and participate in his life, appreciation for now knowing he is finally at peace and with comfort, beside his one true love where he always wanted to be.

I will miss your “good morning Sunshine” … but I will always remember: It’s just “Bye for now” …
