Family was shocked and saddened when Paul passed away suddenly on November 21, 2020. He was just 55 years old.
Paul was born in Toronto in 1965, the youngest of 5 children of Peter and Lila Baumken.
He moved to Victoria in 1994 and joined his brother John who had moved out west a year earlier.
He was a long- time friend and support to Kelly Ward.
He found the climate and surroundings of Vancouver Island so attractive that he never really considered a move back to Ontario, although he did return to Ontario occasionally with Kelly and spent time with family. He enjoyed cooking and time with family at the cottage.
His loss is mourned by his brothers Mike (Carrie), John, Peter and his sister Liz (Luke) as well as his nieces and nephews.
He will join his parents in their final resting place in Peterborough, Ontario.
A family service will be held in Ontario at a later date.
