Earl Richard Adams

  • March18, 1935 to August 12, 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Earl Adams at the age of 82. Earl passed away peacefully on Saturday morning in the Victoria General Hospital.

Earl was born in Montreal and moved to Vancouver in the early 70’s where he became involved with the ski scene in Whistler. The cabin became the gathering point for many friends.

He worked in sales for roofing materials in BC retiring at 65 years young.

During retirement he moved to Langford on Vancouver Island and bought his dream boat which he kept at Pedder Bay Marina. Just about every day he could be found on the water or tinkering on the boat. One of his greatest catches was a salmon over 50lbs that he landed himself and didn’t mind sharing the story many times.

Earl was a gentle soul who had many friends and was easy to like from the first time you met.

He is survived by nieces, Gail (Jim) Russo, Janice (John) Bulger and Donna Wickdahl; nephews, Brent (Stella) McNulty, Michael (Elaine) Adams and Derrick (Jennifer) Adams; and all their children.

Many thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff for their compassionate care of Earl plus the friends he had in Langford for being so kind to him over the years. If you are so inclined, raise a glass of red wine to celebrate his life and friendship (it was his favorite).

No service to be conducted at the request of Earl. There will be a family gathering at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the BC Cancer Society.

RIP Earl – WE LOVE YOU XOXO
