Love you forever Doug.
So grateful you are at peace, and no longer in pain.
I miss your stories, your laughter… your huge, passionate, heart, and fierce dedication to family.
I will miss the enthusiasm, empathy, and spirit- that you generously shared, whenever we talked.
And, Big Brother, your hugs were so warm, and comforting – that I can feel them, whenever you come to mind.
I think you’ve taken a piece of us all, with you, when you upgraded.
I will hold you here, in my heart, until we meet again.

“It was such a privilege and honor to work and become a friend of Doug. He was an incredibly smart and thoughtful friend. Working with him in the battalion 3 PPCLI was very memorable. He always made you laugh even when we’re in difficult situations. Always looking for the silver lining to make things more durable through the day. The memories of Doug will always be a part of my life specially his laughter his great devotion to God wife and country. Thank you Doug for showing courageous faith in Christ during the final days here on earth. Like you said believers in Christ don’t say goodbye, but see you later. What a wonderful day that will be
