  1. I am very sorry to hear this news. Daryl was likable guy, I am sure a great father and grandfather, and a great friend to a lot of people.
    My thoughts are with you.

      Dear Barb and Family
We had the sincere privilege and honor of Daryl’s friendship for over 50 years. I played Little League Baseball with Daryl in the 50s and carried on through Vic High with him , all the while considering him one of my dearest friends. I have wonderful memories of a driving trip to Montreal and New York with Daryl very shortly after grad from Vic High . While attending UVic together in the late 60s and early 70s, we shared a couple of residences. Life with Daryl was idyllic as long as he got the best bedroom. We had many, many good times together and these I resolve to remember rather than the sad ending that we are all dealing with now.

To Daryl’s dear family, I would sincerely wish that these current days of sorrow pass as quickly as possible so that you too can focus on the multitude of happy, positive memories of Daryl that we know you will have.

We would be most appreciative of an opportunity to attend any memorial service for Daryl and I would relish a chance to exchange memories of Daryl with any interested family member. Daryl was a good son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and a truly good friend. He will be missed dearly while his memory will be dearly nourished and treasured by many. Remember the Vic High motto- “We never falter, we never die”. At least the memories won’t. Rest in Peace dear friend.
