It is with truly heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear sweet mother, Clare Marie Wing (O’Leary) on March 29, 2023 in Glenwarren Lodge, Victoria.Clare was born in 1938 in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. She was the daughter of the late Archina and Ronald O’Leary. She was predeceased by David, her husband of 60 years and her only sibling Ronnie O’Leary.
Mom lived a life devoted to the care and love of her children. She could always be counted on to offer support and lend an ear. She was a wonderful listener. She often prayed to Saint Theresa and lived her life as a strong Christian. She also enjoyed winning at BINGO.
She is survived by all eight of her children. Kelly (Steve), Shawn , Neil (Lisa), David (Tammy), Kevin (Lynette), Scott (Debbie), Todd (Karna) and Noel (Carl), twelve grandchildren and 10 (soon to be 11) great-grandchildren.
“When tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand that an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand. The angel said my place was ready, in Heaven far above, and that I’d have to leave behind all those I dearly love. But when I walked through Heaven’s Gates, I felt so much at home, for God looked down, smiled at me, and told me ‘Welcome Home’. So when tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right there in your heart.”
Mom you will be forever loved and dearly missed.
