Condolence Messages

  1. I have known Art since the 1980s. We shared our love for jazz and he was a jazz dj on CFUV radio for many years. I admired his courage and good humour in his adversity. I will miss him. My condolences to his family.

  2. Art was a very special friend. He was kind and gracious. He faced adversity with good humour and strove to be independent. A lover of music with impeccable taste. His radio show on CFUV 101.9FM was always terrific.
    My condolences to his family.

  3. Art has been a longtime friend. He’s taken the bus all the way to Halifax to visit us and spent many Christmases with us in Comox. Rob even took him to Seattle to see his beloved Steelers play.
We’ll miss you, but will have fond memories of listening to jazz at Herman’s and going out for dinner in downtown Victoria.
    Always in our hearts. R & H

  4. It has been a pre Christmas tradition over the past few years for my wife and I along with a couple of other friends to visit and have dinner out with Art. We always looked forward to these meetings as we had great conversations with him and he was such a great guy to spend time with. Art faced a lot of adversity in his life but he didn’t complain and always saw the positive side of life. We will miss him a lot. Our condolences to the family.

  5. Naomi and Dave George

Our deepest condolences and much love to Art’s family. Art has been a dear friend of ours since the mid 1970’s – we met in English class at Camosun College. Over the years we went on many car rides, enjoyed dinner in fine restaurants, and spent many hours talking on the phone. He was fun to be around and always had a positive outlook on life. He loved listening to Jazz music and watching the Pittsburg Steelers play. We will miss him greatly and will always remember our dear friend Art.

  6. Rick and Wendy Dykun

Art was a good friend since 1979, when we had the good luck to live across the street from him in his beloved Brentwood Bay. We shared good times over the years and we will miss him greatly. Condolences to the family.
