We will miss our frequent video talks on messenger Art. You suffered and struggled so long with your health and seemed to take it all in stride. You are now in the land of heavenly motorcycles, aircraft (viking) 🙂 and those that have been waiting for you. Till we meet again.

Very sorry to hear this, looked forward to the FB posts of the baking and the food prep. BBQ’s and the baking would make me hungry. Art and Bev’s travels to the local eateries were always good to see and reminders of the old days. Known Art since Elizabeth Fisher, kept in touch over the last few years which I enjoyed however I had not had the chance to get up to Victoria for a visit. A good man and he will be missed ….

    Great friend and brother-in-law.

I am in tears. Art was my best friend in High School. He was the first student to talk to me and welcome me as my family had just moved to Langford. We were close friends after that for a few years. I did visit him while he was in hospital, not long ago and we talked about old times. It was like old times again. Art – rest in peace as I will always treasure the time we spent, hanging out, drinking root beer, wondering what we would do with our lives.

My condolences to Art’s family. Art and I went to high-school together and like a few other classmates reunited on Facebook. Yes Art’s was one with a gentle manner about him and a great sense oh humor. Family, motorcycles and BBQ seemed to be the most important parts of Art’s life. He did seem to love a good cut of beef.
I realized Art’s had some health issues and I think his attitude in dealing with them is beat said in this biker qoute “When Life Throws You a Curve…Lean Into It, Pick Your Line and Keep Your Weight on the Outside Peg.”
Going to miss you and your posts buddy.

Art was actually my patient early on in his sickness. I remember him , grey and very unwell the day he went to Saint Pauls. I was sure I would never see him again. I did see him again, pink and glad to be alive . I have run into him several times over the years , always glad to see him. Art I will always remember.
