It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Travis Schurdevin, also known as “Trapper”, age 47, on December 1, 2021 in Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, BC.
Travis was born in Great Falls, Montana on August 16, 1974. At the age of 5, he and his family moved to British Columbia, Canada where he has lived since that time.
Travis was preceded in death by his father, Steve Schurdevin of Revelstoke. BC, and is survived by his two children, daughter Charli Schurdevin of Revelstoke, BC, and son Chase Schurdevin, of Courtenay/Comox, BC.
He is also survived by his sister, Adrienne Schurdevin of Revelstoke, BC, by his brother, Derek Schurdevin of Cherryville, BC, by his mother, Paula Benard (Buttars), of Yucatan, Mexico, and 3 nieces, Kirsten, Stevie, and Karlie.
Travis will always be remembered for being quick to laugh, his great sense of humor, his love of hockey and so many great fishing trips with the family.
He is resting in peace in God’s memory as well as in all of ours. (Acts 24:15)
A memorial service will be announced at a later date in Revelstoke, BC, when travel is easier for everyone.

I met Trapper a few years ago. We were instant buddies. He was such a caring, loving and giving man. The Christmas my husband died he was staying with us and he made sure there was a gift under the tree for both my son and myself. I use my French press coffee maker every morning still and think of trap. We will see each other again hun. RIP my good friend.
