Posted By Pacific Coast Cremation On August 4, 2022 @ 3:38 pm In Obituaries | 1 Condolence

Shonan Dillon-Davis passed away peacefully on July 5th, 2022 due to multiple health issues.  He was born in Edmonton, AB on August 5th 1969 where he developed a talent in theatre, dance, and was a car enthusiast. Shonan moved to Victoria, BC in 1991 and eventually called Victoria home for the next 31 years.  He attended University of Victoria and graduated with his CPA in 2005 where he had a successful career with the Government of Canada for over 15 years.

He leaves behind a village of family and friends he adored and loved passionately; with a special connection to his Fernwood Village.  We will forever remember him as an affectionate, kind, gentle and joyful man who strived to live in peace and acceptance. He found pleasure in the simple things in life and would never pass up an invitation to the beach, long walks, or social gatherings.

In honour of Shonan and his love, respect and advocacy for women and children donations can be sent to BRACinternational.org [1]in Tanzania.  As he had a special connection to the community where his Uncle lived in Dar es Salaam.  BRAC is an international non-profit organization with a mission to empower people and communities in situations of poverty, illiteracy, disease, and social injustice.

A special thank you to the amazing staff and volunteers at the Victoria Hospice Society. Shonan passed away in a peaceful, calm and loving environment surrounded by his three special women in his life.

There is a private gathering with his chosen family in North Saanich on August 5th followed by a gathering for his village of friends at the Fernwood Inn at 1:00pm to celebrate the beautiful man and life of Shonan Dillon-Davis.

Condolences for the family of “Shonan Dillon-Davis”

Condolence from Jason Middleton on August 5th, 2022 1:54 pm

Shonan was a friend and roommate after high school, There may have even been a fleeting attempt at a landscaping business together . Shonan was bigger than life and always had fun. After he moved to Victoria we connected every couple of years; he would share his health challenges but remained confident and positive and enjoyed a good time. I saw this past June in hospice; he was frail and tired, I knew it would be our final goodbye. Shonan… Rest easy my friend. Condolences to his family and his special friends in Victoria.
