Rodger Thomos Wright

I was very sorry to hear about Rodgers passing, and I would like to express my deepest sympathies to his family. I first met Rodger back in 1997, when we both worked security together at the Attorney Generals Office in downtown Victoria, and I remember how many officers, myself included, really looked up to Rodger due to his PPCLI background and the knowledge, professionalism, integrity and sense of duty that he brought to the job. Rodger also had a warm and compassionate side, as his fellow military veterans or the many kids who either called him Uncle Rodger or Santa Claus will attest. I haven’t seen Rodger in many years, and it saddens me deeply that I will no longer have the chance to reconnect with him or thank him for being such a positive influence on me when I was a young man and first starting out into the workforce. I know Rodger would not care about a “thanks”, but in his honour I would like to offer my assistance, in any way I can, if his family ever finds themselves in need of a friendly hand.
