Taken too soon, we were blessed to have this miracle in our lives for 19 short years. Rena had a wonderful heart and a beautiful soul. She will be greatly missed.
Rena will always be lovingly remembered by her mom, her dad, her brother and sisters, her grandparents, her uncles and aunts, her cousins, her many friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her kindness, her love, and her laughter.
We would like to thank our family and friends, and those who have reached out over distance and time to offer their love and support during this difficult time. A special thank you to the First Responders who came to our home that day, and to those that step up in times of crisis to let us know that we are not alone. We thank you all.
Please join us as we celebrate Rena’s life at 1pm on Thursday, April 21, 2016 in the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 91, 761 Station Road, Victoria, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vancouver Island Crisis Society, or any organization that helps kids, teens and young adults who are struggling to cope. Our kids are worth it.

Rena, this troubled me, I knew how good of a girl you were, even if we didn’t always see eye to eye, or agree, but you were a bright, smart girl! May you find the peace while you rest it hurts my heart to say I’ll miss our disagreements. I am sorry to your friends and family, and only hope they can find the peace they need. I am so sorry for your loss. You did such an amazing job raising a beautiful girl who has been taken from us far to early. My heart goes out to you. She is an amazing girl, beautiful inside and out. I feel honoured to be in her life. Rena and I talked often, I’m going to miss those funny messages and how we caught up with each other even if we didn’t talk for months we could catch up in minutes. Dear Dear Sandy, to hear that you lost your beautiful Rena is absolutely heartbreaking. Please know that Aurel and I cannot stop thinking about you and your family at this ever so sad time.
Rena’s smile lit up the room and when I look at this beautiful picture you shared I can see an amazing loving, caring and kind young lady just like her Mom. God Bless you Sandy and your family too.

Dearest Sweet Sandy, No parent should have to experience the loss of a child. I can’t even begin to imagine what you and your family must be going through. I’m here for you for what ever you need or want. I feel in my heart that Rena is now able to just be who or what ever she wants to be and that she will be with you always.

I spent a good amount of time enjoying the lovely Rena , this was so unexpected and even though we can never be ready for things like this .. The news seemed and almost still seems unreal .. I can’t imagine how you must be feeling and I’m aware nothing will fix it but please now you are not alone in missing her .. 1000 + people miss her too , and my heart goes out to your family, xo .. She was one of a kind , and so beautiful .. Will be dearly missed .. No words can explain how amazing Rena really was , I am souly thankful that within her short years she managed to wander into my life i had the pleasure of Sharing a few laughs with her.
