Certificates & Government Fees

The Consumer Protection of British Columbia (CPBC) fee is a mandatory fee required by provincial law. CPBC licenses and regulates funeral homes throughout our province.

Pacific Coast Cremation is a registrar for Vital Statistics and issues original provincial death certificates. Notarized copies are used to apply for the Canada Pension Plan Death Benefit, bank account and credit card cancellations, insurance claims, pension claims, brokerage account cancellations, and notifications to other institutions.  To order notarized copies you must order at least one Provincial Death Certificate.

In most circumstances the executor will require  1 original and 3 or 4 notarized copies.
