Karen, condolences to you and your family. Your Mom was such a wonderful, caring person. I remember the chats and laughs we had when I stopped by her house on my way home from work. She loved to talk about you and the boys. She was a proud grandma. She accomplished a lot and made us all proud to be from the Caribbean. May God bless you all at this sad time. I am saddened to learn of the passing of Auntie Phyllis, a caring and compassionate woman who played an integral role in helping to raise me in my formative years and more importantly, one who I loved, respected and admired tremendously over the years. The passion and dedication that she put into her community service work in Ottawa was a tireless and unwavering labor of love and support; the accolades received from her contributions are well documented during the time that she so generously and unselfishly gave; a lengthy list of accomplishments worthy of recognition and high praise. To her daughter Karen, words cannot begin to express how you must be feeling during this sensitive time. My prayer for you is that you are able to find the strength and resilience to see you through your loss and eventually be able to reconcile your feelings to focus upon the good times that you shared together. To the rest of Phyllis’s family and friends, know that she is now peacefully at rest, within God’s divine grace and mercy. Her spirit now dwells within us in the memories that we cherish and hold dear within our hearts. R.I.P.🙏🏿

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Phyllis . You were a strong, kind and courageous loving woman. I was proud of how you raised your daughter and still did so much volunteer work.
