Patricia (Tricia) McMullan

Posted By Pacific Coast Cremation On May 21, 2018 @ 8:33 pm In Obituaries | 3 Condolences

On Mother’s Day, May 13th, Patricia (Tricia) McMullan (née Dewing) passed away peacefully in the company of her husband of 40 years, Andrew McMullan.

Our generous, quirky, and loving Tricia was born in Norfolk, England, and came to Canada on holiday in 1977, where she met Andy. They were married a year later. She was an architectural designer in Victoria and has left her creative mark on many a Victoria home.

Tricia struggled with arthritis for the last 15 years, but was still active in her impressive gardens almost to the end. An avid gardener, bridge player and reader, she was a beautiful mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend to so many of us.

Tricia leaves behind her husband, Andy, her daughter, Brydie, and her son, Kieran. She will also be greatly missed by her sisters, Jane and Libby, as well as all the rest of our family and friends.

Thank you so much to those of you who have written already with words of comfort and support. We appreciate your love and send you our love in return. In lieu of a funeral, we would like to invite Tricia’s friends to a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, July 14th at our house. There is no better place to celebrate Tricia than in her beautiful garden, where we’ve had so many amazing celebrations in the past. For more information, please contact her husband, Andy.

Condolences for the family of “Patricia (Tricia) McMullan”

Condolence from Heather Ranson on May 22nd, 2018 9:07 am

I am so sorry for your loss. If it is a comfort at all, Trish passing is a loss to many. Certainly, as part of her book club and competitor at Lexilous I miss her every day. She would play her words at about 9 am and 5 pm and I was usually able to respond about noon and 6 pm. It was a really fun connection.

I look forward to meeting Trish’s family at her celebration of life.

I was devastated to learn of Tricia’s passing – just this morning. Tricia and I were Lexulous and bridge competitors…and I can’t even express how much I will miss her. Kieran, we met you when you helped us with a plumbing issue a few years ago; and Brydie, I have followed you on your Mom’s Facebook posts. I know how proud she was of both of you. Andy, we haven’t met but I feel as if I know you. With this note, I am sending my sincere condolences to all of you…
