Michael (Sean) Elrington passed away March 1, 2017 in the loving company of family and friends.
From his time as a Canadian Navy Sub-Lieutenant navigator to his career as an IT security sales consultant and senior management executive, Sean said he experienced too many career highlights to mention them all.
He considered himself lucky to have travelled the world, indulged a love of sun and sea, played music and have his treasured Nanaimo poker group with him to the end.
At Sean’s request there will not be a public memorial. In lieu of flowers Sean would appreciate a donation to your local SPCA in his honour.

Sean was a major force during my formative musical years in Nanaimo, I’m glad we had a chance to reconnect in recent years. A unique individual and a great guy. He’ll be missed by many.

I had the fortune of being able share in a very long journey of musical collaboration with Sean. I’d have to say he was the most eager of guitar players always wanting to plan ahead when the next jam would happen. A wonderful honest guy. I miss him and was grateful to be with him and family for his last words. My love to his family for your loss.

Our families used to hang out together when we were children and I rented the basement apartment in his parents’ house when I was a teenager.
Sean was always the funny one….

Sean was one of the best IT security sales person that I have ever worked with. I have only worked with him for a short time but his passion and dedication to the job were impeccable.

Sean , was a magnificent friend and confidante , I knew him for almost 25yrs and found him to be one of the most articulate and smartest people I’ve ever met, I will dearly miss him! Thinking of you Bros ! And wanted to say a quick hello and goodbye , and thanks for all the wonderful memories and cycle tours around Stanley park .
