Condolence from Bob Barnes on November 15th, 2021 6:06 am

Lyn was a lifelong friend of mine who I miss tremendously already. We went to school together, played hockey together and worked at the same company after high school.
We went into business together & I remember people saying when you go into business with a friend your friendship will end. In our case it just strengthened our relationship.
I talked to Lyn almost every day & played bridge online several times a week.
I remember asking Lyn about living after his stroke & he replied that the decision was his, he could be mad & irritable or make the best of it & be happy. He chose the latter. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how lucky he was to have a wife like Mary. She gave her Lynnie the best care and attention way beyond what would be expected of a devoted wife.
When I recall my talks with Lyn, the attention always went to how proud he was & how much pleasure he received from his grandkids.
Rest In Peace my treasured friend.
Bob

Condolence from Christine Seaville on November 22nd, 2021 1:54 pm

Mary, I have thought of you both over the years and was sad to read to-day that Lynn has died. I can’t think how saddened you all must be, but especially you, the most devoted wife I’ve ever known. You were so lucky to have had each other – Lynn’s smile was so heart warming and I enjoyed coming to your home. We met through bridge, which morphed into Scrabble – and then nothing, and I’ve missed you both. You and your girls are in my thoughts….. Christine Seaville

To Mary, the girls and rest of family: So sorry with the loss of Lyn. He and you , have left us with such great memories I still tell stories about the morning I met you in the Mary Street Apartments, the burning up of the corvette, the stopping of the elevator mid floor the eve of your wedding, the ‘going broke future’ between roller rinks but before bingo halls, and many more. Our thoughts are with you. Rod&Ruth Reid
