From the early days of knowing Lawrie at Memorial Arena until I re-connected with him (and you) at Santa’s Annonymous, Lawrie comes to my mind as someone who was always kind, helpful and friendly. May he RIP and may you be surrounded by the love of your many friends and family.

I enjoyed playing hockey with Lawrie and appreciated it when he asked me to participate in a Pacemakers tournament. Once I was able to chat with him at length when he was cutting lawns in our neighbourhood. He gave a lot as I’m sure you know. I dedicated my hockey game today, even though checking Ray, to Lawrie. Dear Jackie and family
Lawrie will be remembered as the fellow who was quick to offer support to anyone in need. He worked with Jacki to make sure 1400 families had a good Christmas. Lawrie and Jacki were able to get many volunteers to help Santa’s by organizing the food bags and gifts for these needy families. This is a monumental task. He worked with Jacki to make Santa’s Christmas a success.

Lawrie will mostly be remembered as a guy who loved to play hockey. He organized the guys to play hockey on Wednesdays and he booked the Ol’Pluckers into a number of tournaments. Lawrie also played with the Eagle Ridge Team.

Jacki spent the last year taking care of everything that Lawrie needed. This was a lot of work added to the full days spent Santa’s workshop.

We will miss Lawrie and appreciate Jacki for all she has done.

Jackie and family, so sorry for your loss. Was always a big fan of Lawrie when he coached our ball team. Such a nice guy and so easy to get along with. I remember when he took me for a ride in the red corvette when I was a kid. I thought that was pretty cool !! Our end of ball season party up at shawnigan lake was another great memory or running into him at the arena for hockey or lacrosse games.
