Jennifer Ann Prowse

Jennifer Ann Prowse, 72, of Victoria, British Columbia, died on August 20th, 2026, surrounded by her daughters. She was born on December 13th, 1953, in Lima, Peru, to parents Margaret and Charles Warning. The Warning family later moved to Sarnia, Ontario, where they put down new roots.

Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Nursing in London, Ontario. Her early career offered opportunities to travel, including working as a maternity nurse in New Orleans. Eventually, she found her place in cardiac care, bringing both deep compassion and her signature good sense of humour to her patients and colleagues.

One summer, she met a red headed Terry Prowse. Despite living apart for a time, their relationship grew, and in 1977 they married in Sarnia, Ontario, beginning a life together that would include three daughters, travels around the world, and many adventures along the way.

Jennifer and Terry eventually made the move from Ontario to Saskatoon. She cherished the life they built together, raising three daughters (Catherine, Suzanne, and Elizabeth), and creating a home centred around family and friends. She was an engaged, loving mother who filled her daughters’ childhood with bike rides, chocolate chip cookies, cooking, and family traditions. She made holidays special, from the spooky fun she brought to Halloween to Christmases spent choosing a tree, decorating the house, and making stockings for each of her daughters. She passed down family recipes and used her talents for sewing and carving to create things her family continues to treasure.

She embraced Saskatoon winters by cross-country skiing, and when she and Terry later traded the snow for the West Coast by moving to Victoria, she enjoyed year-round gardening and golfing. Together, they travelled the world, formed lasting friendships, and were known for bringing people together through memorable, often themed, dinner parties.

Jennifer was predeceased by her beloved parents, Margaret and Charles Warning, and her cherished husband and partner, Terry Prowse.

She is survived by her oldest daughter Catherine and her husband Cameron; her middle daughter Suzy and her husband Graham, and their sons Willem and Bowen; her youngest daughter Lisa and her husband Max; her brothers and sisters; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of Jennifer’s life will be held by her family at a later date.
