Gary Victor Speed

Gary passed away at Victoria General Hospital on February 16, 2021, at the age of 72. Born in Victoria on May 31, 1948, Gary is survived by his loving wife Marlene, his children Paul, Jill and Sue, and grandchildren.

Gary worked for many years at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC and after retirement, built his dream log home on the mountain, where he lived with his wife for 25 years. A loving husband and father, Gary was an avid woodworker who built fine furniture and many beautiful items for their home. He had a fabulous dry sense of humour and a strength of character equal only to his warm and loving heart.

A memorial for family will be held later in the year. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation of Canada.
