Christine Caroline Evans (nee Olson) passed away peacefully at Victoria General Hospital at 10:45pm on March 23rd. She was 74 years old. Born in Alberta on March 6, 1942, Christine came to Victoria to begin her more than thirty year career as a laboratory technologist. She is predeceased by her mother Mabel Olson, father Henry Olson, sisters Maude Fasick and Dorothy Knull and husband, Paul Michael Evans. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Jay Evans.
Christine loved art, gardening and being outdoors, she was a fearless cook and artist and had a quick wit and brilliant sense of humour. She had a deep sense of compassion, justice and integrity. Her generosity of spirit and kindness were very apparent to those who knew her. She will be dearly missed.

A celebration of her life will be held at Royal Oak Burial Park Chapel, 4673 Falaise Drive on May 27, 2016 at 2:00 pm.

She must have been much like you. She is truly a part of goodness and knowledge. I know this because I have met you.
Jay, I’m so sorry for your loss. You were a good son to your Mom.
Hey Cuz, you know we loved Aunt Chris, so very much! I just wish Mom and I had made it early enough that night to say bye and wish her safe travels onto the next phase of her journey, but I’m pretty sure she heard us when we did get there and said our prayers. Just know that you will never be alone, Jay, you’re stuck with the rest of us, because we love you, too, and always will! (((((Hugs!!)))))

Jay I am truly sorry for your loss. I know how fond and proud she was of you. The love and bond you both had was so evident. She will be greatly missed and cherished in our hearts forever.
