In loving memory of Sabrina Esther Roegels
August 23, 2000 – January 24, 2023
Sabrina passed away peacefully at the age of 22. She was taken from us too soon.
Sabrina was born in Saanichton and is survived by her loving mother Iris, step father Paul, beloved big sister Melina (Martin), family in Germany, Ontario, Fernando and dear friend Cam.
Sabrina grew up in Victoria. She was beautiful and creative, and passionate about the arts. Sabrina wrote poetry and songs. She eventually developed incredible make up artistry skills. Sabrina also had a spiritual side and liked to explore the metaphysical realm.
As sisters, Sabrina and Melina got into their share of mischief and adventures. Iris once watched her girls both fall head long down the stairs of a home they were visiting. Unscathed, they often joked about this memory. Sabrina often reminded Melina that she saved her life when the sisters were at a beach. While petite Sabrina may not actually saved her life, there is no doubt they shared a deep bond. Iris and her girls were very close and Sabrina enjoyed family time. She also loved to travel. Sabrina had an affinity for all animals, especially cats.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Liebe Sabrina liebe Iris, Sabrina war meine Cousine das was ich von ihr mitbekommen habe Fand meistens auf Grund der Endfernung über Instagram statt, dort konnte ich sehen das sie eine sehr Atraktive Frau ist, einmal habe ich sie auch selbst nach ihrer Geburt kennen gelernt, ich hatte dabei einen gemischten Eindruck, ich fand die Zeit mit ihr aber trotzdem schön, ich hätte mir aber nicht vorstellen können, dass ich sie nie wieder sehe mit 22 Jahren zu sterben, finde ich einfach zu früh. Ich habe mir deshalb nie Gedanken darum gemacht, dass ich sie vielleicht nie wieder sehen werde, wenn man aber an Gott glaubt und das habe ich durch meine Arbeit gelernt. Den ich habe im kirchlichen Leben eine Einrichtung der Eingliederungshilfe gearbeitet, Dann denke ich, dass es einen Grund dafür gegeben haben muss. Ich wünsche mir für Sabrina, dass sie es gut bei Gott hat und wünsche ihr dort alles Gute, Gruß Sascha Jansen

I was astounded by her at such a young age. We were one year apart; so being( 12.6 months*) older. I felt like I should have been the influencer not the influenceee. But some how I was always two steps behind sabrina. She was a force to be wreknd with. And through her bold, honest, emotional connections I feel like I shared true friendship with her.
