It is with profound sadness that we share the sudden passing of Kevin Ronald Miller on Nov 11, 2021. He was a loving husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, nephew, coach and friend. Kevin fought valiantly throughout a short battle with cancer. He was born on April 19, 1962 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to his parents Ronald (predeceased) and Gloria Miller. He will be deeply missed by his wife Linda of 38 yrs (his high school sweetheart). His children Jennifer (Jeremy), Leigh-Ann (Nathan) and Joseph (Marissa). His grandchildren Oaklen, Alexa and Michaela whom he absolutely adored. His sisters Shelley and Mandy. His sisters and brother in-laws Debbie (Stephan), Teresa, James (Jhuna) and Glen (Heather), Nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins in Winnipeg and many lifelong friends and neighbours.
Kevin moved to Victoria at the age of 12 and at the age of 15 started working for his father’s family business. There he learned his trade of auto mechanic later working for the Dept. of National Defense for 35 yrs until his retirement in 2017. Kevin enjoyed coaching his 3 children over the years in soccer, baseball and hockey, and more recently his grandson in hockey along with the many kids in his Sooke Community. His hobbies included his Classic car, camping, playing hockey, traveling and home renovations.
He will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him with his quick wit and humour. He was a very thoughtful, kind man and enjoyed helping others.
Many thanks to Dr. Forsberg at Sooke Hospice, the many nurses at Victoria General, Island Health and Pallative care at The Jubilee hospital.
A small family service will take place with a later celebration of life for Kevin in Apr of 2022.
