Roderick passed away peacefully on December 31, 2020. Born in Ottawa on July 21, 1954, he is survived by his children, James and Marissa, and his siblings, Chris (Betty), Vivienne (Claire), Lisa (Peter), Beverley (Vince), Laurie (Tom), and Julie (Terry).
Rod was well-loved and will be greatly missed by his large family, his wife of many years, Donna, and his many friends. He loved spending time with each of us and inspired all, through his writing, haiku, photography, music, and spirituality. A private celebration of life will be held later this year. The family thanks the staff at VGH and MAiD who cared for Rod.

Although we didnt spend much time together over the years, we kept in touch. I admired cousin Rod so much for his creativity, his love for our extended family, and his unique sense of humor. I will miss him always.

So very sorry to hear about Rod’s passing. I am an old friend of Lisa, his sister, from the 1970’s. I have been out of contact for many years, but always remember being welcomed into the Stewart’s family home at Christmastime. All us kids went carolling one year, and had to refuse payment from some of the homes we visited! I remember Rod as a creative soul, and his beautiful wife Donna, who worked at Baggins in downtown Victoria. Would love to re-connect with Lisa if possible. Again, so very sorry for your loss.
