It is with great sadness that the family of Lucia Amato announces her passing after a brave battle with cancer on August 7, 2020 at the age of 78.
Born February 3, 1942, Lucia passed peacefully at home, in Victoria BC, surrounded by family and love. Survived by her loving partner, Antonio (Tony) Cabecinha; loving mother of the Tiseo’s, Mary (Martin}, Celeste, Albert(Sherry}, Sabrina(Rob); loving step-mother of the Cabecinha’s, Desiree and Brandon; grandmother of John, Stephanie, Matthew, Michael, Brittany, Justin, Christopher, Katelyn, Ryan and Ashley. great-grandmother of Mi kala, Natalie, Kinsley, Hailey. Lucia was pre deceased by her father, Giuseppe Amato; mother, Celeste (Di Mezza) Amato; and brother, John Amato. Lucia will be fondly remembered by all, as well as several nieces, cousins and family.
We say goodbye to Lucia, who was full of charisma and life. She was brave and strong. We celebrate Lucia who fought with dignity during her illness. As her soul reaches the heavens, we pray that she finds serenity and peace. Her Love was unconditional and we will miss her always. A private family celebration of Lucias life will take place at a later date.
Memorial donation, in memory of Lucia, can made to the Cancer society, or the charity of your choice. Greatly  appreciated by the family.
